Senior Electrical Engineer
David was born and raised in eastern Washington. After graduating high school, he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from Washington State University in Pullman, WA. He then then joined the U.S. Army where he worked as a Specialist in a Personal Support Battalion. After 4-years of active-duty service, David came to Alaska for R&R in 2000 and never left.
David has had over two decades of electrical and instrument engineering experienced working on Alaskan “brown-field” and “green-field” projects. Project work typically involved up-stream electrical and instrument infrastructure upgrades, medium voltage cross country transmission, low voltage distribution and control, pipeline monitoring, drill site expansion, gas compression and cooling, freeze protection, water and crude oil pumping, metering, camp utilities (potable water, waste-water, shops, back-up generation), chemical injection, construction engineering, and O&M project technical support.
David joined Taku in 2021 as a Senior Electrical Engineer and has hence supported project work for the the Port of Alaska and for the ConocoPhillips WNS Pipelines Colville River Crossing and raw water supply efforts.
On his off-time David enjoys fishing, shooting, quality time with family, and various DIY projects.
