Senior Project Manager and Multi-Discipline Engineer
Thomas Rawlins is a Senior Project Manager at Taku Engineering. He was raised in Cordova, Alaska and currently resides in Anchorage with his family. Tom completed his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Montana State in Bozeman and earned his Master of Science in Aerospace & Mechanical Engineering from the George Washington University. He has over twenty years of engineering and project experience, with five of those spent in the field across the United States.
Tom has a track record of success in leading technically complex projects from cradle to grave and has earned the Project Management Professional® (PMP) credential. He employs lessons from extensive soft skill training in leadership and facilitation, as well as optimization tools from six-sigma and lean methodologies. Mr. Rawlins is an effective communicator, both with the written word and in conversations, tailoring the style to ensure clear and consise messaging. He is also a published author and possesses strong technical writing skills.
When not at work, Tom enjoys spending time outdoors with family and flying bush planes in pursuit of fish and game throughout Alaska. He aspires to be a snowbird when he retires.
