David was born and raised in New York and New England.  A childhood curiosity with electronics naturally lead to an interest in computers, starting with a Commodore VIC-20 and not stopping.

While an undergraduate at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, during the initial explosive growth of the Internet he got a position working with one of the early commercial ISP’s . This was the start of a lifelong career in IT.

25+ years later David’s experience has included everything from desktop support and network administration, financial software development, network security software development, database administration and data migration, server administration and systems engineering.  All with the object of making computers make life and work easier.

Still curious about electronics and computers, David is frequently tinkering and restoring his collection of junk computers… uh… vintage machines.  When he does get away from a screen it is usually hiking or camping as far from a road as his feet can take him.
