Welcome to Taku Engineering
Ethan Bartz
Materials Engineer
Materials Engineer
Although not born in Alaska, Ethan has always considered Alaska home ever since he moved up north at a young age. Even after moving down to Arizona to pursue a degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Arizona State University, he always felt like he was meant to live in Alaska.
During his time in Arizona attending college and working as an intern in the natural gas industry, Ethan came across Corrosion Engineering while speaking with a previous coworker of his. He has been infatuated with the industry ever since and has spent his free time searching for the opportunity to get his foot in the door. His experience designing gas pipelines, working with GIS software, and managing minor pipeline replacement projects as well as his interest in corrosion mitigation has led him to Taku Engineering.
Ethan joined Taku Engineering in the summer of 2024 following his move from Arizona back to his home in Alaska. As he works toward earning as many certifications as he can in the Corrosion Engineering industry, he maintains an active lifestyle by hiking, playing golf, enjoying time on the lake, and fishing.
