Robert Long

Senior Engineering Technician

Robert was born overseas and raised on the Hawaiian Islands, he later moved to Spokane, Washington. He began his inspection career in 1991 as an NDE technician when he first moved to Alaska. Later he obtained his National Certifications; AWS CWI, NACE Certified Coating Inspector, API 653, API 570, STI SP001, and AWS Code radiographic interpreter. Robert’s experience includes but is not limited to, inspection of above ground storage tanks ranging from 20-feet to 300-feet in diameter, inspection and assessment of above ground and below ground process piping to include power plants, regeneration facilities, oil refineries and cross-country pipelines.

With over 30 years of experience in the industry Robert has extensive knowledge of the above-mentioned fields. He also has a strong understanding of local and national level codes, specifications, and regulatory compliance.

When not working Robert enjoys attending sporting events, drag races, and the great outdoors.

His hobbies include playing guitar, drums, and keyboards in addition to basketball and watersports.
