Senior Engineering Technician

Russell was born and raised in California, where he earned his Mechanical Engineering degree. He worked in spacecraft operations for several years before moving into inspection.

He started inspecting construction, chemical plants, and refineries before moving into the oilfield in 2009. He earned multiple qualifications in NDT, from Magnetic and Penetrant Testing to Ultrasonic Testing: Thickness, Shear Wave UT, Automated UT, and other specialized techniques. This led him into the North Slope oilfields and eventually to TAPS. He joined Taku in late 2023.
